Los Angeles Animal Care and Control

The County of Los Angeles Department of Animal Care and Control is one of the largest and most advanced animal control agencies in America. Their six animal care centers serve Santa Clarita and the unincorporated Los Angeles County.

They also have 52 contract cities with an accumulative population of over 3 million people. L.A. Animal Care and Control cover more than 4,000 square miles of cities, deserts, beaches, and mountains. They provide animal control and rescue services in specific areas 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

They also provide the opportunity for many people the chance to add a great addition into their family and that is through adoption from the pound. Their Santa Clarita animal care centers offer a wide variety of potential pets for you to choose from. Most of the animals are either strays or pets turned in by owners who are no longer able to keep and care for them quite like someone else could.

The many benefits of adopting from a Animal Care Center include low‑cost spaying/neutering, a free veterinary check-up, your new pet has received its initial vaccinations against contagious diseases, and the fulfillment of having saved a life of a shelter animal.

They have about six centers that have helped animals find homes, and luckily for the Santa Clarita Valley, there is a location here that offers the same services as were mentioned above.
