Community members and groups must agree to use only organic methods to grow pesticide-free produce. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The gardens are equipped with raised garden plots to accommodate wheelchair-bound residents in the Santa Clarita Valley and include fruit trees and a butterfly garden, providing a beautiful sanctuary for families to enjoy the pleasures and benefits of gardening together. The Community Gardens of Santa Clarita encourages all of those that are interested, to continue to send in application to be placed on the waitlist to get your own plot as soon as one becomes available!<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Educational Gardening Programs<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Community Gardens of Santa Clarita Children\u2019s Garden Program educates community youth on the importance of an organic diet, organic gardening, and the ecological importance of native Southern Californian flora and fauna. Their Education Committee is excited to offer workshops, classes, and clubs to the Santa Clarita Valley Community. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Their CGSC <strong>Junior Gardener\u2019s program<\/strong> is geared towards kids <strong>ages 12 to 17 years of age<\/strong> and offers <strong>education beyond the classroom<\/strong> by enabling the youth to teach and assist the Education Committee Members with the Little Gardeners. The Junior Gardeners Program is meant for kids who want to learn more about organic gardening and its benefits. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <strong>Little Gardeners program<\/strong> is geared towards <strong>kids 4 to 11 years<\/strong> and is put into place to <strong>teach kids how to garden<\/strong>, the importance of organic gardening, and information on native fauna of Southern California.
