Mothers Fighting For Others<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mothers Fighting For Others<\/strong> is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing orphans and vulnerable children<\/strong> with the basic physical, mental, and emotional resources to help them achieve their highest potential. Started by Santa Clarita mom Rocky Turner, Mothers Fighting For Others has implemented a variety of projects in impoverished areas throughout Africa to give young women opportunities for a brighter future<\/strong>. Thanks to this organization, 23 orphans now have food, shelter, and access to a quality education in Saint Monica Children\u2019s home in Kenya. The nonprofit\u2019s Gift of Education and Inspire the Child projects have raised money for children throughout the nation of Kenya to attend high school, which actually costs money to attend. Mothers Fighting For Others works diligently toward giving impoverished children a brighter future, and hopes to expand enough to assist youth in countries around the world.<\/p>\n

Mothers Fighting For Others Works Diligently Toward Giving Impoverished Children A\u00a0Brighter Future<\/h2>\n

Mothers Fighting For Others strives to provide orphans and vulnerable children with opportunities their parents would have provided, if only they could. The organization relies on fundraisers and donations to provide everything the children need to live comfortable and fulfilled lives, and best reach their potential as they grow into adults. When Rocky first visited Kenya in 2006, the children she met at the all-girls orphanage didn\u2019t have pencil sharpeners or deodorant. Often, the children lacked basic items that would have contributed to their physical and emotional well-being.<\/p>\n

Rocky was so transformed by this initial visit in Kenya that she was inspired to start Mothers Fighting For Others. Since then, this organization has provided everything from shelter to educational resources through its various projects in Kenya. The dedicated staff of Mothers Fighting For Others have also provided consistent emotional support for the children at Saint Monica\u2019s.<\/p>\n

The activities of Mothers Fighting For Others are made possible thanks to the donations of SCV residents and people around the world. Rocky Turner will be at the 2015 Santa Clarita Home and Garden Show with Mothers Fighting For Others, spreading awareness of the typical situation for orphaned children in Africa and how education has forever changed the lives of the 23 girls she\u2019s adopted.<\/p>\n
