These charming cups are all <strong>hand made<\/strong>, making each one unique, so there are no two exactly alike. Coffee Cat Pottery will be bringing their \u201cCoffee Cats\u201d cups to the 2015 Santa Clarita Home and Garden Show on April 25th and 26th at the Valencia Hyatt, as well as their full line of teapots, lotion pumps, cream and sugar sets, and vases. One evening at her sister\u2019s house, she was sitting, petting her sister&#8217;s black Burmese cat, and noticed that he had brilliant yellow eyes, not the normal green eyes associated with most black cats. She had been making and selling ceramic masks during the &#8220;mask craze&#8221; of the late 80&#8217;s and early 90&#8217;s and got the idea of making a cup with the cat&#8217;s long curly tail for the handle. She also incorporated the yellow eyes which are still standard on the black cats today. April believes that creativity comes from remaining open to possibility.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3582\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3582\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3582\" src=\"http:\/\/www.santaclaritahomeandgardenshow.com\/upgrade\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/5580threecatmugs-e1420480541614.jpg\" alt=\"Coffee Cat Mugs\" width=\"300\" height=\"212\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-3582\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Coffee Cat Mugs<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The first two &#8220;Coffee Cats&#8221; were made in 1990. She took them to a local California restaurant, where they were both sold by the next day. She then started making them and selling them at other local restaurants and shops in Southern California. Today they are sold in Nashville,TN, York England, Seattle, WA, Winthrop, WA, Poplar Bluffs, MO, Palm Springs, CA, Forest Ranch, CA, and businesses throughout Orange County, CA.
