Nola Aronson, a Santa Clarita audiologist, is explaining how the health of her patients at Advanced Audiology is being protected as the coronavirus pandemic continues. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe are totally open and ready to serve the hearing-impaired population in Santa Clarita, as we\u2019ve been doing for the last 33 years,\u201d said Aronson. \u201cI think people still are uncertain about going out, but we are very safe here, following all the CDC guidelines and very careful, very clean.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rather than utilize the waiting room, patients call the office upon their arrival so an Advanced Audiology staff member can come outside to do a temperature check and ask a list of COVID questions, Aronson noted.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019ve already been asked (these questions) when they made the appointment, but we double check if anything has changed,\u201d said Aronson.<\/p>\n
Masks are required for both staff members and patients at all times, and thorough sanitation steps are taken between patients, Aronson added.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re sanitizing our hands in between, we\u2019re wiping down all the handles, we wipe down the chairs that everybody sits on, we wipe down the computer,\u201d she said. \u201cWe have to do a lot of extra work in between patients.\u201d<\/p>\n
Individuals who are having hearing aid issues can make arrangements to drop it off in a cup outside the office for contactless service, according to Aronson.<\/p>\n
