Fortunately, she had established her hearing baseline at Advanced Audiology prior to the crash.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cShe went to the insurance company\u2026 They said, \u2018How do we know it wasn\u2019t pre-existing?\u2019\u201d Lettau said. \u201cSo she came to us and we did another baseline screening for her\u2026 We showed them the \u2018before\u2019 and \u2018after\u2019 and they settled with her. If she hadn\u2019t come in and got just the baseline, she probably wouldn\u2019t have gotten any settlement at all, so we encourage people to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Free hearing screenings in Santa Clarita have been available at Advanced Audiology for years, with the Santa Clarita audiologist\u2019s goal being to increase the total number given each year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cAbout three or four years ago, we did 1,500,\u201d Lettau said. \u201cThen we did 2,000; then we did 2,500. Now we\u2019re shooting for 3,000 this year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hometownstation.com\/tag\/advanced-audiology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><i>Advanced Audiology<\/i><\/a><i>\u00a0was founded in 2010 by Santa Clarita audiologist Nola Aronson, who has been fitting hearing aids for more than 30 years.
