We are not there to \u2018sell\u2019 hearing aids.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It may be tempting for someone interested in saving money to buy over-the-counter hearing aids from infomercials and other sellers, but Aronson cautioned against this because not having the help of a licensed professional can result in the hearing aid not working properly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are not a commodity,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s really important to come to a professional like ourselves who will evaluate the situation and tell you the truth. And yes, we may be a little bit more money, \u2026 but the thing is, we have a private practice and we have a lot of experience in our practice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Aronson and the team at Advanced Audiology not only work to find the best hearing loss solution for each individual\u2019s unique situation, but they also offer service over time, including cleaning and adjusting the hearing device.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you\u2019re having a problem, you want to be able to walk in the door and be taken care of right away,\u201d Aronson said. \u201cYou want somebody who can adjust them if they\u2019re not working right. You want somebody you can depend on to always be there, and Advanced Audiology has been in the Santa Clarita Valley for 32 years. We\u2019re not going anywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Further, picking Advanced Audiology is a way to give back to the local community, Aronson noted, as 10 percent of proceeds from hearing device sales are donated to Santa Clarita nonprofits.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe donate a lot of money to our nonprofits in this community, because we love Santa Clarita,\u201d she said. \u201cEven though we have a pretty large population here, we are a close-knit community. People know each other, people care about each other.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is the reason Aronson decided to become a Santa Clarita audiologist years ago: she said she deeply cares about changing lives by improving people\u2019s hearing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen we hear our best, there\u2019s nothing stopping us from enjoying the sounds of laughter, of music, of nature, of conversations,\u201d she said. \u201cI had a musician in, \u2026 and when he turned on his music in his hearing aids, his face lit up like a little kid with this big smile across his face.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Aronson continued, \u201cThat made my heart melt, because that\u2019s really what I want to do for people. I want them to know what they\u2019ve been missing.
