‘The Senior Hour’ Hosts Recognize Nola Aronson For New Senior Center Contribution

Santa Clarita Audiologist - Advanced Audiology team

The hosts of “The Senior Hour” on KHTS recently took the time to publicly thank Nola Aronson of Advanced Audiology for contributing to the new senior center in Santa Clarita, Bella Vida.

“Nola made a contribution to Bella Vida for a room where the activities and volunteer coordinators will be, and that room will help to make sure that the services that we provide are done much more efficiently,” said Co-Host Dr. Gene Dorio. “We thank you for that, Nola. (It’s) one of the many, many things that you do in our community.”

The Bella Vida Senior Center on Golden Valley Road opened its doors in April thanks to the help of donors such as Aronson, whose sizeable project donations helped make the 30,000-square-foot center a possibility.

“I felt really good about doing that because I think our Senior Center is so important,” Aronson said, going on to add that seeing the new location’s grand opening was “beyond words.”

“I wouldn’t necessarily have to say it was a senior center anymore — it’s really a center for our community, but places where seniors go,” Aronson said. “There are so many activities and so many things that can be done there.”

A variety of amenities are now available at the center, such as a banquet hall for over 250 people, a fireplace library/lounge, a fitness center and dance studio, six multi-purpose activity rooms and an outdoor cabana complete with concert seating, according to officials.

“It’s like a home away from home, so I think we’re really lucky to have this,” Aronson said. “I’m a senior, and I’m going to use it.”

The decision to donate to the Bella Vida Senior Center is part of Aronson’s ongoing goal of giving back to the community, which includes the sponsorship of countless nonprofits events and donating a portion of her hearing aid proceeds at Advanced Audiology to Santa Clarita nonprofits.

“When you buy a hearing device from us, we not only help you to hear better, but we take 10 percent of our hearing aid proceeds and we give it back to our community,” Aronson said in a previous interview with KTHS. “So actually you are also giving back to your community.”
