SCV Water is inviting the Santa Clarita community to attend their next free virtual gardening class set for this weekend: “Irrigation Systems and Sustainable Landscapes.”
On Saturday November 14th at 9am, residents can learn about how a successful irrigation system can match your landscape with the types of irrigation your grass and plants need.
“You’ll learn about irrigation system design and operation basics, including drip irrigation and high-efficiency spray technology,” SCV Water officials said.
One Saturday a month, SCV Water hosts a virtual class on a Saturday starting at 9:00 a.m. The same great content is still provided by the instructors as in-person classes, but in a more condensed format. Each class focuses on the topic for 45 minutes to one hour, followed by a question-and-answer session.

“All presentations are recorded and available for viewing on our website one week after the live class. Participants will also be able to download the presentation.”
The scheduled instructor for the November 14th class is John Windsor. John is a Certified Arborist and a California Certified Nurseryman. He has been a Horticultural Advisor in the Santa Clarita Valley for the last 21 years.
John has a Horticulture teaching credential and teaches landscape and gardening classes at the local Adult School, and the Santa Clarita Department of Parks and Recreation.
