There are several key reasons to pick a licensed Santa Clarita audiologist like Nola Aronson of Advanced Audiology instead of ordering online or going to a big box store.
Though many think they might be saving money with alternative options, Aronson says that bundled prices mean free services, saving dollars in the long run.
“In the world today, they are saying that hearing aids are so expensive, but people don’t realize that we bundle our prices,” Aronson explained in a previous interview with KHTS. “It’s not only the price of the hearing aid, but it includes service — hearing aids need a lot of service.”
For instance, Aronson’s patients can return to have their hearing aid cleaned or adjusted or have batteries replaced free of charge, but would have to pay every time at a big box store.
In addition, anyone having difficulties with their hearing aid won’t have any help at all if they ordered online, and won’t have nearly the same expertise from a big box store that a Santa Clarita audiologist like Aronson can provide.
“Hearing aids have to be fit correctly in the ear,” Aronson said. “If you think the hearing aid is too tinny, how are going to get that changed if there’s nowhere for you to (go)?”
Aronson is licensed by the state in Audiology and hearing aid dispensing. She also has a Master’s Degree in Audiology from California State University, Long Beach and holds certifications of clinical competence from the American Hearing and Speech Association and the American Academy of Audiology.
“What people don’t realize is, yes you’ll find hearing aids less expensive online because you’re only finding a hearing aid,” Aronson concluded. “You’re not finding a person to fit it, you’re not finding any service with it.”
