Advanced Audiology stands apart from its competitors, and there are a variety of reasons to choose it over other private audiology offices, according to Steve Lettau of Advanced Audiology.
To start with, Lettau pointed out that Santa Clarita audiologist Nola Aronson and the team there don’t just want to sell hearing aids, but spend the extra time needed to listen to patients, give education and provide the hearing aid that is right for them based on their unique needs.
“How Advanced Audiology is different is, we don’t just sell a hearing aid,” Lettau said. “What we like to do is provide a solution for people.”

Second, Aronson and her team provide free hearing screenings in Santa Clarita to offer the community education about hearing and give residents the chance to have a hearing baseline established so they can monitor changes in the future, or decide if they need a hearing aid now.
“We do 2,500 free hearing screenings every year at our office,” Lettau said.
Next, regular hearing aid maintenance and service is available at Advanced Audiology, including cleanings, adjustments and more.
“We want (the hearing aids) to operate at top performance,” Lettau said. “What we try to do is, not only diagnose the problem and provide the solution, but continuing the relationship. So once we go ahead and fit the patient, we’re partners for life.”
In addition, Aronson and the team are willing to make special accommodations for appointments when necessary, according to Lettau.
“If someone needs a special appointment, why, we live five blocks from the office,” he said. “So we’ve met many patients on Saturday and sometimes even Sundays, and that’s not something you’re going to get from every place.”
The last reason Lettau noted her audiology team stands apart from competitors is because Aronson is so heavily involved in the community, and regularly sponsors nonprofit events in Santa Clarita while donating a portion of sales to local nonprofits.
“(Nola) in many instances is the title sponsor at different fundraising events and things like that,” Lettau said. “There’s 100 nonprofits up here and every one of them is deserving, so we try to divy it up so we give something to almost everybody.”
Several organizations that the audiology team has a regular partnership with includes the SCV Senior Center, the Boys & Girls Club of SCV, Circle of Hope, the “Connecting to Success” program by VIA, Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, College of the Canyons, Soroptimist International and more.
Nola Aronson concluded, “We donate 10 percent of our hearing aid proceeds, so we not only help you hear better, but we also help you give back to your community.”
