Advanced Audiology can help correct hearing loss for those in need just in time for cherished family experiences during the holidays.
“This time of year is a great time to come with the holidays coming up,” said Steve Lettau of Advanced Audiology. “We all have really fond memories of the holiday season, and we certainly don’t want to miss anything with the grandkids.”
People with difficulty hearing are typically isolated from family members and loved ones at holiday gatherings, unable to participate in the conversation or hear sounds such as their grandchildren laughing, according to Lettau.

“You can always tell when someone’s got a hearing problem,” he said. “They sit in a corner and nod their head and smile. (They) haven’t heard a word you said, and what a shame for them to lose out.”
Last year before the holiday season, Lettau had a friend visit Advanced Audiology with his wife, who had long been struggling with hearing loss.
“We fit her with some hearing devices,” Lettau said, “and for the first time ever, she heard the grandkids at Christmas.”
Rather than just “selling” hearing aids at Advanced Audiology, Santa Clarita audiologist Nola Aronson and her team aim to provide education to patients and offer individualized hearing loss solutions tailored to their specific needs.
Additionally, free hearing screenings are available at Advanced Audiology to help the community establish a hearing baseline, receive education on hearing and have a professional determine if any solutions are needed.
“We do 2,500 free hearing screenings every year at our office,” Lettau said. “I know I have an 85 percent hearing loss, and if I didn’t have these devices, I don’t know what I would do.”
Advanced Audiology was founded in 2010 by Santa Clarita audiologist Nola Aronson, who has been fitting hearing aids for more than 30 years. Advanced Audiology is the largest diagnostic hearing center in the Santa Clarita Valley, focusing on clients with hearing loss, tinnitus, ears ringing and more. Hearing tests, hearing aids and new sound infrared devices are also available at Advanced Audiology in addition to a complete hearing healthcare program that includes free batteries, quarterly cleanings and adjustments.
