Advanced Audiology’s Nola Aronson, an audiologist in Santa Clarita, in in many ways “your community audiologist” because of her heavy involvement in local nonprofits and continuous efforts to give back to these organizations.
On a monthly basis, 10 percent of hearing aid sale proceeds at Advanced Audiology are donated to a different Santa Clarita nonprofit that is close to Aronson’s heart.
“When you purchase a hearing aid from Advanced Audiology, be assured that you’re not only going to hear better, but you’re going to be able to give back to your community as well,” Aronson said. “We are your community audiologists.”
Additionally, Advanced Audiology provides sponsorship for nonprofit fundraisers and community events regularly.
“(Nola) in many instances is the title sponsor at different fundraising events and things like that,” said Advanced Audiology’s Steve Lettau, who mentioned Santa Clarita’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s as an example.

Some of the nonprofits that Advanced Audiology has ongoing partnerships with include the Boys & Girls Club of SCV, Circle of Hope, the SCV Senior Center, Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, VIA’s “Connecting to Success” program, Soroptimist International, College of the Canyons and more, Aronson noted.
During fundraising efforts to help build the new Bella Vida Senior Center, Aronson made a significant donation, and a room is now named after her at the new center, according to Lettau.
The nonprofit Circle of Hope, which provides emotional, educational and financial assistance to those with cancer in Santa Clarita, is special to Aronson because she is a 20-year breast cancer survivor.
“Circle of Hope is really one of her passions,” Lettau said. “She is on the board of directors there.”
Additionally, Aronson is a Valley Industry Association (VIA) board member, with one of her “pet projects” being a program that helps ensure underprivileged youth receive an education, according to Lettau.
Since 1993, Aronson has acted as a Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce ambassador and is also a Soroptimist International member, while regularly attending the KHTS Sacramento Road Trip to meet with elected officials about local issues, Lettau continued.
“One of the things that’s our passion is drug prevention (and) rehabilitation,” Lettau said. “So we’re trying to get more involved in that, … because it’s a big problem up here.”
Due to the countless nonprofits Aronson is involved with, Lettau said it would be almost impossible to mention them all by name.
“Every one of them is a worthwhile project,” he said. “Every one of them is deserving, so we try to divy it up so we give something to almost everybody.”
Aronson not only strives to give back to her community, she also has an ultimate goal of improving her patients’ quality of life by improving their hearing.
“Advanced Audiology prides itself in giving solutions to hearing problems, not just selling hearing aids,” Aronson concluded.
