Academy Swim Club of the Santa Clarita Valley is a premier spot to learn how to properly swim. Their mission is to inspire individuals, families and youth to learn to swim for life. They do this by creating a safe, fun and friendly atmosphere, teaching exceptional developmentally appropriate swimming and fitness skills which build self-esteem, confidence and character.

Academy Swim club has a goal to make sure that every child that comes through their doors is a swimmer by the age of 3. They also strive to exceed all of their patrons expectations and to give the highest quality of swimming lessons in Southern California. The Santa Clarita Valley has always been a source for swimming. The hot summers, and cooler temperatures during the winter can make anybody want to swim. No matter what season it is in Southern California, people want to swim. But learning the proper way to swim is where Academy Swim club comes into the picture. Your safety is their purpose of teaching the correct way.
Swimming is the only active sport you can participate in from your first breath, to your last. It does not require a team, coach, opponent, uniform or specific abilities. When introduced properly, water is a therapeutic environment which is healing, stimulates physical and emotional development, increases self-esteem, bonds family members, and adds joy and excitement to your life. Early introduction into the aquatic environment instills a sense of curiosity, confidence and pride in a skill so vital throughout life.

Nikki Miller, a Santa Clarita Valley resident, is the founder and director of the Academy Swim Club. She and her husband Jim have dedicated their lives to saving the lives of others. An incident occurred in their lives in 1994 that would change their lives forever. Teaching children how to swim properly, and in the correct environment has driven them to succeed in proper teaching and etiquette when it comes to swimming needs. Helping to make the community more aware of respecting the art of swimming has been their focused goal.
