The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department of the Santa Clarita Valley is a law enforcement agency that serves the county of Los Angeles. This is an area totaling approximately 4,086 square miles with a population of almost 10 million people. It is the largest Sheriff’s Department in the world, with approximately 18,000 employees. They have tremendous career opportunities with an enormous growth rate for those employed.
Serving and Protecting Santa Clarita
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department provides general law enforcement services to 42 contracted cities, 141 unincorporated communities, 216 facilities, hospitals and clinics located throughout Los Angeles County, nine community colleges, the Metropolitan Transit Authority and 32 Superior Courts. They also provide services such as laboratories and academy training for smaller law enforcement agencies within the County. Additionally, the Sheriff is responsible in securing approximately 18,000 inmates daily in seven custody facilities which includes providing food and medical treatment. They are guided by their principles of integrity, accountability, service and ethics.
Along with positions within their law enforcement agency, the Los Angeles County Sheriff also takes great pride I their community outreach program. The community outreach program gives residents the opportunity to get more involved with issues that are being discussed in an open forum. This allows for residents to take a look around, and whether good or bad, give their feedback to the program representatives. This is a wonderful way for residents to get to know their law enforcement agency, and the ones who represent it. The program also allows for the youth environment to become active on their community.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department of the Santa Clarita Valley is here to help all residents within the community. Law enforcement is critical when it comes to the community being safe. Safety is their number one priority. They want the community to rely on them in case they have an unfortunate situation. They are here to help. The community can count on them 24/7.
