Founded by Dale Bergquist, a U.S. Army Veteran, who at a young age grew poppies which was a passion that inspired him to start his own business as a teenager. In 1946, business began to expand so Dale began to look for business opportunities, then found an existing plant nursery business. Dale and his co-worker invested in the business which included a shovel, wheelbarrow, some tools, plants, and a small building, the deal was done with a handshake. During the 1950s, business began to take off with new homes being built which meant new lawns, landscaping needs and garden products were high in demand, according to Green Thumb Nursery.
Green Thumb is a full-service garden center business who have been involved in introducing superb garden decor within Santa Clarita. It provides its residents with a limitless selection of houseplants to help them save money and make the experience less expensive for their customers.
