Mathnasium of Canyon Country is a math-only learning center that helps kids in grades K-12 throughout the Santa Clarita Valley understand math by teaching them in a way that makes sense to them.
The goal of Mathnasium of Canyon Country is to enhance your child’s math skills so that they can understand math concepts and improve overall school performance.
The Mathnasium Method™ has been transforming the way kids understand math for over a decade with 800+ centers across the US and Canada. Larry Martinek, the creator of the Mathnasium Method™, has dedicated over 40 years in designing, developing and refining this approach. By understanding what kids already know, they will build math knowledge that will help kids to learn quickly and gain confidence.
Three key components make up the proprietary method:
1. Assess child’s math skills
2. Customize learning plan
3. Teach for understanding
Mathnasium instructors will give students a customized assessment to pinpoint exactly what your child knows and determine what they need to learn. A customized learning plan is created to teach the concepts that the student needs to master. Specially trained math instructors apply a specialized approach to effectively explain math concepts in an individual setting. The progress of the student is continually checked to make sure that they understand and retain the concepts.
Mathnasium will help build a math foundation that will evolve with your child’s math needs. Starting with elementary school and going through high school, Mathnasium will also help your child with test preparation and assist with homework. Time is set aside to provide help with understanding homework assignments so that kids feel confident and not frustrated in completing their work at home.
