KW Cares is a public charity that supports Keller Williams associates and their families with financial hardships caused by a major emergency. This charity is supported across North America and has become a major part of Keller Williams. KW Realty has one location in the Santa Clarita Valley.
Giving Back to the Community
In 2003, KW Cares became a 501(c)(3) public charity that raises money from Keller Williams market centers and regional offices. The money raised through its grant program allows them to provide emergency financial aid to members of the Keller Williams family, and to support charities and causes inline with Keller Williams Realty and KW Cares mission and values. Every year, KW Cares donates 10 percent of what they raised annually to a few charities. They support the Ryan’s Well Foundation, Homes for our Troops, and MD Anderson Cancer Center.
KW Cares is run by a board of directors and assisted with an advisory board. Now chairman, Mo Anderson made this organization recognized as a public charity. Their Vice-Chairman is Mary Tennant, Treasurer is Sharon Gibbons, and Secretary is Rachel Tang who is also the Programs Manager. There are 16 other members of the KW Cares team.
KW Cares awarded 537 grants with a total of $6,112,634 to the KW family in 30 of the 33 regions in 2016. This grant helped provide relief for disasters in areas including West Virginia, Louisiana, Canada, Florida, Maryland, and Peru. Grants are being given regularly to people who are fighting serious illnesses and recovering from accidents that changed their life. KW Cares awarded over $705,000 to the three organizations they support.

Keller Williams associates and their families in Santa Clarita and their other locations may apply for grants. There is a list of requirements to be eligible on their website including writing a letter summarizing the situation and the financial hardship from it. SCV residents may donate if they wish.
