The Gardening Club of Santa Clarita allows passionate gardeners and new gardeners to meet up and talk knowledge and advice to other passionate gardeners and new gardeners alike. Since its start, the meetup has been in casual format where speakers can discuss, collaborate and exchange knowledge about all things gardening.
In 2009, the Gardening Club of Santa Clarita was created by two avid gardeners, Diane Benjamin and Kathy Phillips. They created the Gardening Club of Santa Clarita so that passionate gardeners of all ages and experience levels can learn, connect, and share knowledge about gardening with each other. Since then, the Gardening Club has been involved in many gardening events around the Santa Clarita Valley.

In August 2010, the Club first formally elected Officers and Community Chairs to encourage leadership and help plan, promote and host Club activities within the Santa Clarita Valley and to places beyond Santa Clarita such as Descanso Gardens, Los Angeles Arboretum, and The Huntington.
We have also reached out to the community on projects including the Community Garden vegetable plot for the Food Pantry of Santa Clarita, maintaining roses in at the Hart Park Historical Society, build raised beds for Einstein Charter School, and rejuvenate a garden for a local senior.
The club is part of California Garden Clubs, Inc., San Fernando Valley District and the Pacific Region of National Garden Clubs, Inc. This gives the Gardening Club of Santa Clarita additional benefits including gardening classes, insurance, and interaction with other gardening clubs. Members can get exclusive discounts to local merchants in Santa Clarita, including Green Thumb Newhall Store, Foothills Soil, Boething Treeland, Roy Boak Tree Service and Maclay Rancho Nursery.
Meetings take place every second Thursday of each month at the Sierra Hills Swim and Racket Club, located at 28616 Kenroy Ave, Canyon Country, CA 91387.
