In order to best come up with a line of products to provide not only flavor but health benefits as well Zendigo turns to their resident health expert Dr. Farid Zarif who is a highly accomplished doctor and the founder of “The Rhythm Diet” . Growing up in the tough neighborhoods of Detroit, Michigan, the lifestyle was one of struggle and survival, but the experience was invaluable. Dr. Zarif is the second of nine children and had to learn to prepare meals to help his single mother with her many responsibilities. That was the beginning of his fervor for food and nutrition. Recognizing this passion, he went on to complete a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Human Nutrition Science at American Holistic College of Nutrition, and post-graduate studies at St. Luke’s University School of Medicine. It was then on to California for a dietetic internship at Cedar-Sinai Hospital.
