Founded in 1985, Charter College’s first campus opened in Anchorage, Alaska, with the goal of bringing a unique style of education to the surrounding community – a way to advance careers and expand opportunities without trapping students in a four-year program where they were required to study subjects that were not relevant to their career field. The Canyon Country, California campus was founded ten years earlier under a different name, but adopted the Charter moniker because of a common leadership and mission. With over 20 programs in health care, as well as the legal, dental, and business fields, Charter College Canyon Country is Santa Clarita’s source for a high-quality, comprehensive education that arms students with the skills they need to be successful.
