Our local energy source, Southern California Edison will be a featured vendor in this year’s 2015 KHTS Home and Garden Show and Emergency Expo held on April 25-26th. They pride themselves on being a “safe, reliable, and affordable power source for the Southern California area.” For over 125 years Southern California Edison has been powering houses, businesses in and around the Santa Clarita community. SCE is known for being one of the nation’s largest electric utilities keeping their electricity supply safe and affordable for its customers.
Edison strives to invest in a lot of man power every year in order to educate people in protecting our environment to help the Southern California region thrive. By using funds from shareholders of their parent company Edison International they have helped build stronger communities. At Edison their focus is on focusing on important issues like public safety, education, and emergency preparedness.

Southern California Edison prides themselves on protecting the environment, participating in effects from preserving local ecosystems to renewable power. SCE is here for all of your concerns, from what to do if there’s a downed power line, to how to keep electric cords in good order, to even offering free service when your trees are growing into the power lines. Lately, Southern California Edison has been working on repairing and replacing power lines that don’t meet the required standards. This pole loading assessment takes about 30 minutes, and crews don’t need to access your home or buildings. Three contractors are authorized to do this work: Clients (formerly InfoTech), Utility Data Contractors (UDC), RDI Engineering, and IJUS. For your safety, each crew member carries an Edison-authorized identification badge.
