The Newhall County Water District not only cares about delivering water to the residential and commercial community, but for the safety of the state of California’s continuation. On January 17th, 2014, Governor Jerry Brown announced that a statewide drought was under way; being that this year is the driest on record.

Because of this, the State of California and the SCV Family of Water Suppliers is calling on all residents and businesses to reduce their water usage by 2-%, thus eliminating water waste.  They want the people of Santa Clarita to understand the importance of water conservation, for the protection of the citizens, the state, and the economical well being of the United States of America.

Safe Drinking Water

Because of the water crisis the state is in, Newhall County Water District has stated some helpful ways to cut your water wasting in half! Since spray irrigation only needs 3-4 minutes per day to keep grass healthy, adjusting your irrigation time with the seasons helps reduce water usage.

Another helpful tip is to change the angle the direction of the sprinklers so they do not run on the sidewalk or streets, but solely hit the grass to reduce water waste due to wind. The District has served its customers for nearly 60 years and is committed to providing quality water and their professional yet friendly service to the people residing in the city.

They stand by what they say, “On behalf of the Newhall County Water District’s its Board of Directors and dedicated employees, and we reaffirm our pledge to provide excellent water service to you, the residents and businesses of the Santa Clarita Valley.”

They want to make sure the residents of Santa Clarita Valley and its surrounding areas have all their questions or concerns answered. That is why they invite everyone to call them at their listed number or email them at [email protected] so they can help you with the information you need.
