The City of Santa Clarita Emergency Services is here to help assist the lives of all of its residents. When in the case of a natural disaster, manmade disaster, and national security emergencies, the City of Santa Clarita main goals in an emergency are to save lives, protect property and the environment.
These goals will be accomplished by numerous ways with the idea to help people in need. The main objectives are to manage and coordinate overall emergency response and recovery operations, coordinate with appropriate federal, state and other local government agencies, as well as applicable segments of private sector entities and volunteer agencies, and establish priorities and resolve any conflicting demands for support.
The City of Santa Clarita also wants to keep everyone updated on what is going on all during the emergency or disaster. This will include preparing and broadcasting emergency public information to inform, alert and warn the public and distributing damage information.
The City of Santa Clarita Emergency Services Management
Santa Clarita Emergency Services Management will help all during the emergency but the main concern of the public is about how life will be like after and they have created a plan for the continuation of government to help ease the transition.
One of the many initiatives that the City of Santa Clarita has is emergency messaging and notifications. The City of Santa Clarita employs Nixle Community Information Service to send important, valuable community information directly to subscribers via text messages, email notifications and social media messages.
The City can immediately notify Santa Clarita Nixle subscribers of a specific event or emergency, providing the community with timely and trustworthy information relevant to their neighborhood and community.
Important messages may include public safety emergency information such as brush fires, earthquakes, road conditions and closures, evacuations, as well as other relevant safety and community event information.
