The Santa Clarita Water Division is the second largest water retailer in the Santa Clarita Valley and operates in roughly 32 square miles of northern Los Angeles County which includes parts of Saugus, Canyon Country and Newhall.
The Santa Clarita Water company was formed in 1973 after the merger of the Bouquet Water Company and Solemint Water Company. In 1999, the Castaic Lake Water Agency acquired stock in the company and created the Santa Clarita Water Division to provide water as a public agency.
The mission of the Santa Clarita Water Division is to provide reliable, quality water at a reasonable cost to their customers. They are able to use groundwater sources and water provided by SCV Water to meet the demand of their customers.
The company is constantly innovating in how they are able to provide their water supply. Currently, the company operates approximately 300 miles of water pipelines, 48 water takes, 29 pump stations and 15 groundwater production wells.
Santa Clarita Water Division recognizes the importance of conserving water in the tough conditions of Southern California. They encourage and work closely with customers to help conserve water and these efforts help to ensure a reliable source of water for the community.

Customers are offered a great amount of rebates and incentives to improve water efficiency and lower their bills. Customers who choose to replace their lawns, for example, are eligible for a partial reimbursement per square foot replacements.
Santa Clarita Water Division also offers devices to help conserve water. Customers who stop by their offices receive up to two nozzles for their outdoor hoses, faucet aerators and low-flow showerheads. Also receive up to twenty-five high efficiency sprinkler nozzles for residential customers, or up to one hundred for businesses, schools and non-profit organizations.
Attend their workshop and receive a free weather-based irrigation controller, also known as a smart controller.
Santa Clarita Water Division offices are open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and they are open every other Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
