Damsel in Defense, partnering with Kathy Card, provides products to help Santa Clarita women defend themselves. Violent crime is an unfortunate reality we must all face and it is important to have the tools and knowledge to defend yourself.
The truth is that sexual assault affects an alarming amount of American women. One in three women experience domestic violence, college-aged women are four times more likely to be assaulted, and even more upsetting is that seventy percent of sexual assaults happen before the age of seventeen.
Damsel in Defense provides customers with stun guns, pepper spray, and striking tools to keep attackers at bay.
Self-defense for Santa Clarita
Kathy is proud to be a part of the Damsel family. Her goal in joining the organization was to improve the lives of her mother, her girlfriends, her sisters, and every woman nationwide. She feels good knowing she is helping to keep women from becoming a sexual assault statistic. She encourages women to spread the word and inform each other about the risk and their defense options.
Initially created by two amazing women out of Idaho, Damsel in Defense has grown to serve women all across the United States. Noting that these sort of products aren’t something usually found in stores, or directly searched for, the women with Damsel in Defense decided to hold parties called Empower Hours to educate women on the dangers they face every day so they can learn in a comfortable environment. Growth skyrocketed due to this approach and now many more women are properly educated and equipped to defend themselves.
Whomever you are trying to protect there is a solution. For children there are child-friendly devices because every forty seconds a child is abducted. Some other options include purses designed to hide self-defense tools or stun guns disguised as cameras. Neutral colored items are offered as well. Over the years more and more men have taken up the mantle in defending themselves too.
