Life Changing Effects
Developed by founder Bikram Choudhury, Bikram yoga incorporates elements of Hatha Yoga and makes use of twenty-six postures and two breathing techniques that are suited for all ages. Born in Calcutta, India, Bikram has been learning and refining his yoga techniques since he was three years old.
Bikram Yoga utilizes 90-minute classes performed in a heated room. This environment provides students with a perfect place to better themselves. The Bikram system provides total wellness. Each pose stretches the ligaments, muscles, and joints in preparation for the next posture in the exercise. This practice stimulates the body’s organs, nerves, and glands all while delivering freshly oxygenated blood throughout the body.

Founder Bikram Choudhury tells his students: “Give me 30 days, I’ll change your body. Give me 60 days, I’ll change your life.” Try the 30 day or 60 day challenge yourself. Challenge yourself to attend yoga daily for either 30 or 60 days and achieve improved health, wellness, and spirit. Challengers have reported such benefits as improved sleep, weight loss, improved stress management, muscle tone, and much more.
Not everyone’s schedule is ready for such a massive commitment and that is okay. Challenge yourself and make a schedule you can keep up with. What is important is doing the most that you can depending on your circumstances.
Membership is flexible. Members aren’t committed to attending certain classes at specific times. Come in whenever a class best fits your busy schedule. You are encouraged to bring your own water, yoga mat, and towel, however, water and yoga mats are available to buy or rent. There is no need to be self-conscious because the system was designed with beginners in mind.
