The mission of the City of Santa Clarita Emergency Services is to make sure that lives are saved when something drastic happens. They serve and protect the residents in Santa Clarita and keep them safe if an emergency happens.
Protecting Santa Clarita
The City of Santa Clarita provides help when it comes to “protecting property and the environment in situations associated with natural disasters, man-made disasters, and national security emergencies.”
The Santa Clarita Emergency Services have certain emergency management objectives that they follow. There are six emergency objectives that the City of Santa Clarita Emergency Services follow to make sure that the residents of the Santa Clarita Valley are safe. Those six guidelines are: manage and coordinate overall emergency response and recovery operations; coordinate with appropriate federal, state and other local government agencies, as well as applicable segments of private sector entities and volunteer agencies; establish priorities and resolve any conflicting demands for support; prepare and disseminate emergency public information to inform, alert and warn the public; disseminate damage information and other essential data; and plan for the continuation of government.
