Heaven on Earth is an animal sanctuary for cats; helping improve the quality of life for homeless cats, especially the ones who have very few options and may be overlooked because of the low potential they have for adoption.
It was started 15 years ago, in the February of 2000, by Eri Cronkhite, who began with a goal to end the suffering and destruction of homeless animals because of the overpopulation crisis and first developed an adoption program for rescued strays and ran spay-neuter services.
Animal Sanctuary
When five kittens who survived a collapsed pipes accident were feral and afraid of people were given a low chance of adoption, Eri decided to take them in because no one else would.
This was the beginning of the sanctuary. Heaven on Earth became a haven for special needs animals with no place else to go. Heaven on Earth was now a place for special needs animals (feral, disabled, elderly, sick) that have no other place to go.
Currently they are a home for around 150 cats who are there for a range of reasons; some are waiting to be adopted, others are living temporarily in their isolation room, and then there are those whose special needs, chronic health issues or age mean that Heaven on Earth will probably be their home forever.

Adoption Program
Heaven on Earth has many vessels to help them fulfill their mission. They have the Perry MacFarlane Sanctuary, a no kill and cage free facility. An adoption program, with mobile adoption events held every weekend at several different locations, and also at Perry’s place.
SpayShip Transport Service works in conjunction with local spay/neuter clinics, to provide free transportation and trapping assistance for community and companion cats. They also provide community outreach, which is referral, guidance, support and humane education.
Even if they cannot help every single cat, they will help any person calling in to asking about how to help a cat.
