As one of the leading performing arts schools in the valley, the Santa Clarita School of Performing Arts has been training and booking performers for years. Based just thirty minutes north of Hollywood, SCSOPA not only opens their doors to members of the local community, but also welcomes all neighboring Los Angeles citizens. Approachable to students of all ages and backgrounds, SCSOPA offers classes and programs to those just beginning as well as others more experienced in acting, dance, voice, and modeling. Equipping students with a specialized set of performing skills, SCSOPA prepares you in public presentation, memorization, and confidence, as well as other skills necessary for a performer to know and exhibit.
Employing a staff of seasoned performers, SCSOPA presents students with instructors who are not only skillful in their craft, but also hold a great passion for it. Possessing great experience in multiple formats, all teachers have held some form of work on stage, film, television, and so on, and hope to teach students the things they have learned to prepare them for their future on stage or on set. Understanding the individuality and particular talent of each student, teachers uniquely formulate their classes to work better for students and enrich the growth in their skills.
One of the school’s major policies is to limit class sizes to ensure each student gets the benefit and experience of working close with their teachers. It is also deeply encouraged for scheduling one-on-one meetings between students and teachers to hone in on skills and help polish them to perfection. The Santa Clarita School of Performing Arts also expects weekly onsite visits from some of the top representative agencies in Los Angeles looking for new and fresh talent. Every week, students are offered the chance to audition for agents and show off the skills that were built and refined at SCSOPA.
Providing fun and educational classes, SCSOPA will lead you into the world of performing arts as well as provide students with the skills and contacts to make their way through the industry. Open houses are available every week, and members of the valley and other communities are welcome to tour the Santa Clarita School of Performing Arts and take the first steps into the world of show business.
