Child and Family Center
The Child and Family Center provides mental health resources and services for residents of the Santa Clarita Valley. Thanks to the Child and Family Center, Santa Clarita children and families can access quality mental health, behavioral, and educational services, and receive the support they need to deal with life challenges. Established in 1976, the Center has since expanded to aid more than 3,300 children and 2,500 adults with a comprehensive range of prevention, early intervention, evaluation, and therapeutic services.
The Child and Family Center provides a variety of services and programs to meet the needs of the diverse Santa Clarita population. Residents can find life skills classes, parenting education, substance abuse recovery courses, counseling, as well as linkage with self-help, peer support, and emergency services. A highly qualified team of counselors, therapists, and other mental health professionals are always on staff to answer questions and address concerns. The center also provides clients with transportation to the facility, and has a call center to provide referrals and information to anyone who needs assistance.

The Child And Family Center Offers A Variety Of Programs To Benefit The Youth Of The Santa Clarita Valley
Part of the Child and Family Center’s mission is to help adults, families, and children reach their full potential for becoming caring, responsible adults. Anyone in the Santa Clarita Valley can access the Center’s resources to work toward improving their emotional, mental, and financial well-being. When it comes to dealing with tough situations, residents don’t have to handle them alone. They can contact a staff member right away to receive compassionate and helpful assistance.
This nonprofit offers a variety of programs to benefit the youth of the Santa Clarita Valley. The Child and Family Center assists all young people, from infants to youths up to the age of 25. Services that provide valuable mental and emotional support for children include support groups, intensive school based services, crisis intervention, and drug and alcohol abuse recovery. Teens can participate in a support group focusing on navigating the often rocky transition from teenage years to adulthood.
The Child and Family Center can also provide the presence of qualified and dedicated staff on school campuses to facilitate children’s academic growth and stability. Staff members can provide short-term counseling for students, evaluate classroom interactions, consult with teachers, and provide special education and mental health services.
