We Rock The Spectrum

We Rock the Spectrum Santa Clarita is dedicated to providing all children in the Santa Clarita Valley a safe, nurturing, and fun environment to foster learning, exploration, and safe sensory experiences.  Containing a variety of play structures and specialized sensory equipment meant to address the dynamic nervous system of children with autism and special needs, this gym provides social skills, groups, and activities for children across the spectrum, but prides itself on creating an all-inclusive environment for children of all ability levels to play, have fun, and feel welcome.

In 2009, the idea for We Rock the Spectrum was born when Dina Kimmel built a sensory gym in her home to facilitate the development of her second child Gabriel, who was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.  After she found that her older daughter Sophia also enjoyed the gym’s equipment and toys, Dina realized the demand for a safe, comfortable setting in which children of all needs could enjoy themselves, and most importantly, “never have to say ‘I’m sorry’”!  We Rock the Spectrum now operates in several locations across southern California, including Tarzana, Northridge, Glendale, Studio City, Santa Monica, Pasadena, Agoura Hills, and Santa Clarita.

With crash mats, tunnels, motor and sensory equipment, toys, zip lines, swings, and a play structure designed to assist all children in their neurological growth and development, We Rock the Spectrum Santa Clarita is the perfect place to have a birthday party, private playdate, or special event.  The activities the gym offers include arts and crafts, dress-up, karate, cupcake decorating, and many more to give your little ones a day to remember!  The trained and expert staff can also guide you through your party-planning experience, and even provide gluten-free birthday cake if necessary!  Santa Clarita Valley’s We Rock the Spectrum Rock Shop offers the best selection of hand-picked toys and puzzles to stimulate and entertain all kids, and even carries gluten and wheat free food products, gluten free playdough, Melissa and Doug puzzles and games, and puzzle piece jewelry for purchase!

Monique Hindi and Shereen-Hindi Gabaret are in charge of We Rock the Spectrum’s Santa Clarita Valley Branch.  They, along with the facility’s entire staff, share Dina Kimmel’s vision of providing children across the spectrum with a fun and motivational environment to help them in the areas of strength, movement, sensory processing, communication, positive behavior modification, social interactions, and self-care skills, and bringing kids of all abilities together for an experience that everyone can enjoy.
