Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station

Protecting and serving the Santa Clarita Valley since 1987, the 153 deputies at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station are some of the finest law enforcement officers in Los Angeles County. Thanks to their hard work, Santa Clarita is 4th safest among California cities with a population of at least 150,000 people, and is the 13th safest in the United States, according to the 2011 FBI Uniform Crime Report. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department operates the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station and provides police protection for the community.

Through the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station provides several services to the city of Santa Clarita. In partnership with the city’s Community Interaction Team, the Santa Clarita Valley deputies have made 1,000 arrests with a 100% conviction rate in an effort to curb graffiti in the city. Its officers are also heavily involved in outreach programs that benefit youth and high-risk individuals, including the Gang Outreach Committee, the Heroin Kills program, and the Blue Ribbon Task Force. The Blue Ribbon Task Force was formed in January 2000 by the City Council to provide information and education to the community about drug, alcohol, and tobacco use by teens. The Santa Clarita station also has several volunteer initiatives, such as the Ride-a-Long and Explorers programs, for local residents to participate in non-hazardous law enforcement activities and get involved in their community.
