Stephen Zimpel grew up on job sites with his father where he learned how to design and build anything that he could imagine. These 30 years of experience and his passion for woodworking helped lead the way for a successful career at the HGTV Network, where his show ran for four seasons and 53 episodes. Stephen has just recently made Valencia his new hometown, creating Z Artisan Woodworks, which specializes in interior woodwork to transform an ordinary house into an outstanding home. Stephen will be a proud participant at the 2015 Santa Clarita Home and Garden Show at the Valencia Hyatt on April 25th and 26th.

Stephen knows that communication is the most important aspect of the entire design. If the client is not certain of what they want or the designer is not sure what they want, then it is likely that the project will not be a success because the desires of the client will probably not be met. Stephen Zimpel knows that his success on a design project relies on the communication and understanding of the project by both him and his client.
Stephen is a California licensed general contractor under the company name that was his fathers since 1973, Zimpel Brothers Builders. For over 40 years, Zimpel Brothers Builders has been a family tradition and their hopes are to pass it on to future generations. Stephen has built on this tradition with a successful 4 season, 53 episode run on HGTV and the creation of his new company, Z Artisan Woodworks.
