Weathered Wonders will be a featured vendor at the 2015 KHTS Home and Garden Show and Emergency Expo at the Valencia Hyatt on April 25-26th. Coming all the way from Phoenix, Arizona to our very own Santa Clarita Valley, owner David W. Bruce brings us must-have, one of a kind, handmade birdhouses created from recycled materials.
David Bruce has been a self taught wood maker and artisan for many years. The materials he uses to create these masterfully crafted birdhouses are gathered from deserted buildings and alleyways. When these fine pieces hit Santa Clarita, it will be a gift from one home to another.

Weathered Wonders Uses Recycled Materials To Create Beautiful, Handcrafted Birdhouses
A perfect addition that fits any type of style, David Bruce’s birdhouses are crafted in the back of his shop in central Phoenix. He offers a wide variety of styles, carrying birdhouses that range from Old English to Spanish missionary to even some inspired by the wacky personality of Dr. Seuss. These birdhouses are inspired to be art, so birds seldom occupy the dwellings, but many have places for birds to perch outside. Along with birdhouses, Bruce also customizes dog and cat houses as well as garden furniture.
His shop, Weathered Wonders, has been in business for about a decade creating beautifully crafted work that’s been turned over from things such as sheet metal, random doorknobs, rusty fixtures, and even old silverware. He is gifted in finding odds and ends and making something beautiful out of them for others to enjoy.
Santa Clarita residents will be sure to find a treasure out of Bruce’s unique crafts. His birdhouses are built to withstand the heat of places like California and Phoenix during the hot summer months. A perfect addition to any backyard, some of his wacky color schemes will be sure to pop out in the spring and summer months spent in the backyard.
